Version 2.2
In this update, UWeb has been given a completely new codebase, built from the ground-up. Although we have only made some minor changes to the UI in this update, the 2nd-generation UWeb Engine will allow our users to seamlessly build their websites across all of their devices – iOS, iPadOS and macOS.
Furthermore, the 2nd-generation UWeb Engine has laid the ground work for the eventual release of UWeb 3 – two (almost three) years in the making, this will be our biggest update yet! More details coming soon.

Unfortunately, the UWeb Team has been severely underfunded and understaffed due to global events. We apologize for any project delays or unacknowledged issues over the past few months. We have been working hard to release a production build of the 2nd-generation UWeb Engine.
Now that it's finally here, we can begin to rollout more updates on a regular basis. Additionally, with the release of this new engine, we are now able to begin working on releasing the iOS and iPadOS versions of UWeb.
Up until this point of release, any updates made to the older engine would have been replaced by the newer one. Meaning, if we had continuously worked on improving the older engine, it would have pushed the release date of this newer engine to sometime in mid-to-late 2021.
A few months back, we asked the UWeb community for advice as to which route we should go about taking. An overwhelming majority of you voted to continue development on the next generation of UWeb. Now that we've arrived, we can finally move forward. Due to the designed nature of this next generation engine, we can simultaneously work to improve UWeb 2, while also developing UWeb 3.
Finally, we'd like to thank you for your patience. There are still a number of optimizations that need to be made to this current version of UWeb; however, we felt it best to get a working production build out there and follow-up with improvement updates in the near future.
Please note that we release updates to both the app and the client. This just means that, if you aren't seeing new updates in the Mac App Store, it's likely because we've been silently pushing updates to the client directly. This allows you to take advantage of the newest features, the minute they're released.
